my vision
my mission is to evoke joy, confidence, and wonder through beautiful images, creating space for everyone i photograph to see themselves as a work of art.
i believe that photographs are magic. they offer the ability to generate new experiences in the present moment, as well as evoke an emotional narrative when viewed. i consider it a privilege and an honor to cultivate this magic with those i capture through the lens.
my work is built on the exploration of the intimate image-making process as a ritual for connection, empowerment, artistic expression, and self-discovery. it is my sincere hope that the emotional depth and beautiful complexity of each individual i work with is evident and palpable in the images i create.
i am deeply passionate about making quality portraits that feel effortless, resonant, and authentic. a truly good portrait has the ability to genuinely impact a person’s view of themselves in a positive way, illuminating the unique beauty and individuality that are intrinsically a part of that person. a well-crafted portrait gives the subject the ability to step into their own power, sometimes for the first time in their life, or in ways that have not been explored before. it is my passion, and a privilege for which i am deeply grateful, to serve as a catalyst and conduit for that experience.

my story
first and foremost an artist and adventurer, seeking unique ways of viewing the world has always informed how i move through life. i have been crouching in the dirt, climbing trees, and wading through streams to seek new perspectives since before i can remember. i have long romanticized the often-overlooked details of our planet, consistently finding new expressions of beauty everywhere i look, and new stories to tell.
in 2021, when many of us found ourselves challenging our prior assumptions about what was valuable and important, i decided to nurture my passion for sharing my sense of wonder for the world around me by enrolling in a digital photography class at my local community college. through this course, and the learning, conversations, and connections that it inspired, i was able to begin the process of formalizing my knowledge and technical skills to better convey the imagery and emotions i have yearned to share since forever. over time, and somewhat unexpectedly, i discovered my love for narrative portrait photography and its unique ability, when executed with care and skill, to cast a glowy layer of enchantment upon the way we experience the world, our stories, and ourselves.
in addition to bringing my visions to life through photography, i am also an experienced model (more about my modeling work here). this has gifted me with the ability to truly understand what it's like to be on the other side of the lens. it's vulnerable, it's emotional, it's exciting, and it's sacred. it's a romp in the forest and a telling of a life story all at once. my experience as a model allows me to be a photographer who deeply understands the needs and desires of any subject, from the hesitant newbie to the seasoned professional. i owe an abundance of gratitude to the handful of friends, wonderful professional photographers and business owners, and models who have mentored me, worked with me and taught me so much of what i know today.

my values
my process
i specialize in portrait photography that emphasizes the collaborative relationship between photographer and subject. i strive to bring out the unique elements of each subject’s personality organically, encouraging the subject to see themselves simultaneously as both art and artist. although i value a polished finished result, i also place a strong emphasis on the process, and believe this helps to create finished images that are both beautiful as well as deeply personal.
visually, my style is contemporary and boldly unapologetic with a touch of spontaneity and whimsy and subtle hints of film-inspired nostalgia. i have a passion for creating images that capture and tell unique, authentic stories.
i approach all of my work as an energy exchange, and endeavor to craft and nurture an environment in which the subject feels comfortable, held, and at home. my hope is that through working with me, those i photograph will experience a connection with their inner magic. we are each beautiful, complex, ethereal creatures, worlds within worlds. we all hold within us infinite stories to be told through images. it is my passion to help bring those stories to life artfully and with integrity.
